Burley Music is the collaborated works of James E. Taylor (Director, Producer, Editor and Film Instructor) and Michael Burley (Professional Recording Artist and Guitar Instructor).
Upon designing this product, James and Michael drew from their teaching experience to provide education on the instrument that will simplify the learning curves involved.
Using their combined talents and with the help of their professional friends they have created a priceless piece of art in the category of musical education. James and Michael are confident that with this material and the appropriate commitment to practice any student can begin to master the instrument in little time. Our goal was to provide instruction from the absolute beginner and provide the viewer tools required that would allow the student to begin to enjoy the instrument to its full extent.
Shortly after brushing shoulders one day in a musical entertainment environment, James and Michael recognized each other's talents. In further conversation, they realized that they were also both instructors in their passionate fields. Learning this, James and Michael began working on an idea that Michael had been thinking of for years (to create an instructional DVD on the guitar and how to sing and play at the same time).
After lengthy discussions, they decided to embark on spending the next year of their lives to create this instructional DVD and work together on other passionate goals that the two shared.
Working together, hanging out and help each other in daily life routines including family, they forged a relationship that became an impermeable pursuit of creation from the passions that the two have held inside throughout their whole lives. Witnessing the passion hard work and determination they shared, Mr. Taylor's family helped out with seed money to begin the project.
James and Michael then drew from their professional and personal relationships to complete the filming of this project. With the additions of Rob Burgess, Johnny, Steve, Chris, Lindsay and Aaron the team was now built and the project was ready for production. Rob Burgess engineered the Audio. James top graduates, Lindsay, Chris, Aaron, Johnny and Steve, professionally handled lighting, cameras, special effects, and animated graphics.
Shot at Blue Wave studios, the team successfully shot the film (and Michaels first music video) in two days using 17 hours of film, which completed the production phase. The team expanded again with the addition of an investor that believed in the project as much as the initial team to complete the post production phase. Over six months the team completed this project with over 1500 animated graphics, special effects, countless hours of editing and forged friendships that will last a lifetime.
Michael and James would like to put a special thanks to Bobbie, Andrea and everyone involved in bringing this project to completion. Without you and your belief in the project, we would have never been able to finish it.
Thanks Gang
